L’amour pour la saga Harry Potter et son univers magique ne s’arrête bien sûr pas avec le dernier film. Bon nombre de fans continuent d’user les pages de leurs livres en rêvant à un tout autre monde où tout est possible. Pour que la magie continue, Charlotte Kyriakou (une mère anglaise de 31 ans) planche pendant 18 mois sur un projet qui lui permet de relooker sa salle à manger Angleterre à Shrewsbury en Angleterre à la mode des sorciers pour le plus grand plaisir de son mari Andrew, 39 ans mais aussi de Kyriacos, 6 ans, de Maximus, 4 ans et de Eleni, 3 ans !
C’est en visitant l’impressionnant studio Warner Bros que l’idée commence à germer dans l’esprit Charlotte Kyriakou. Son projet fou : créer à son échelle une salle à manger inspirée de celle du film. Elle se met alors à acheter toutes sortes d’items tout droit sorti de l’univers d’Harry Potter : des chapeaux, des baguettes et même une fausse chouette ! “On a acheté une lettre jetée dans la cheminée trouvée chez un antiquaire qui nous a coûté 240 euros. Nous avons aussi une sorcière dans un bocal qui se trouvait dans le bureau du Professeur Lupin dans le troisième film. Cela nous est revenu à 420 euros.”
En plus d’acheter des objets décoratifs, la famille se lance dans de grands travaux pour mener à bien la transformation. Le mari a par exemple réalisé par lui-même les panneaux boisés qui tapissent les murs. Le somptueux sol en calcaire et les murs en fausse pierre ont aussi été une grosse part du travail et du budget qui aura été de 15551,56 euros au total.
Petite anecdote, la pièce ne peut pas accueillir autant de personnes que celle du film mais en decembre 2015 pas moins de 22 personnes se sont pressées autour de la table pour un fantastique dîner. Pas mal !
